Windows GDI+ Remote Code Execution Vulnerability
Heap-based buffer overflow in Windows GDI+ allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network.
FAQ
How could an attacker exploit this vulnerability?
An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by convincing a user to open or process a specially crafted EMF+ file that contains a malicious image record. When the file is rendered, the system may incorrectly handle the image data, causing it to write beyond the bounds of allocated memory and corrupt adjacent memory structures.
