Windows Message Queuing Service (MSMQ) Remote Code Execution Vulnerability
Heap-based buffer overflow in Windows Message Queuing allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network.
FAQ
How could an attacker exploit this vulnerability?
An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted request containing a maliciously formed domain name to a vulnerable service. When the system processes this input, it may incorrectly calculate the required memory size and write beyond the allocated buffer, resulting in memory corruption that could allow further compromise of the affected system.
