Уязвимость перехвата данных в Mozilla Firefox при авторизации через WebExtensions
Описание
WebExtensions с соответствующими разрешениями способны прикреплять контентные скрипты к сайтам Mozilla, таким как accounts.firefox.com, и прослушивать сетевой трафик к сайту через API webRequest. Это позволяет злоумышленникам перехватывать имя пользователя и зашифрованный пароль во время авторизации в учетных записях Firefox. Проблема не затрагивает синхронизацию трафика напрямую и ограничивается процессом авторизации на сайте и данными, отображаемыми пользователю после входа.
