Описание

When processing certain files, PHP EXIF extension in versions 7.1.x below 7.1.29, 7.2.x below 7.2.18 and 7.3.x below 7.3.5 can be caused to read past allocated buffer in exif_process_IFD_TAG function. This may lead to information disclosure or crash.

This issue affects the versions of php as shipped with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, 6, 7 and 8 as well php53 as shipped with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5. Red Hat Product Security has rated this issue as having a security impact of Low. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 is now in Maintenance Support 2 Phase of the support and maintenance life cycle. This has been rated as having a security impact of Low, and is not currently planned to be addressed in future updates. For additional information, refer to the Red Hat Enterprise Linux Life Cycle: https://access.redhat.com/support/policy/updates/errata/. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 is now in Extended Life Phase of the support and maintenance life cycle. This issue is not currently planned to be addressed in future updates. This issue did affect the versions of rh-php70-php, rh-php71-php and rh-php72-php as shipped with Red Hat Software Collections.
