Out-of-bounds Read error in tiffcp in libtiff 4.3.0 allows attackers to cause a denial-of-service via a crafted tiff file. For users that compile libtiff from sources, the fix is available with commit 408976c4.
A heap buffer overflow flaw was found in Libtiffs' cpContigBufToSeparateBuf() function of the tiffcp.c file. This flaw allows an attacker with a crafted TIFF file to trigger a heap out-of-bounds read access issue, causing a crash that leads to a denial of service.

All versions of Libtiff shipped in Red Hat Enterprise Linux are affected, because of the presence of vulnerable code in our code-base. Red Hat Product Security has rated this issue as having a Moderate security impact, and since Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, 7 are Out-of-Support-Scope, the issue is not currently planned to be addressed in future updates. Only Important and Critical severity flaws will be addressed at this time.
