Описание
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amdgpu: fix possible UAF in amdgpu_cs_pass1()
Since the gang_size check is outside of chunk parsing
loop, we need to reset i before we free the chunk data.
Suggested by Ye Zhang (@VAR10CK) of Baidu Security.
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's amdgpu graphics driver. This Use-After-Free (UAF) vulnerability arises from improper handling of internal data structures, where memory is incorrectly accessed after it has been freed. A local attacker with administrative privileges could exploit this flaw to cause a denial of service or potentially escalate privileges on the system.
Отчет
This issue is considered to be a moderate impact flaw, as the exploitation for this will need an ADMIN (or ROOT) privilege (PR:H).
Меры по смягчению последствий
Mitigation for this issue is either not available or the currently available options do not meet the Red Hat Product Security criteria comprising ease of use and deployment, applicability to widespread installation base, or stability.
