In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
samples/bpf: Fix fout leak in hbm's run_bpf_prog
Fix fout being fopen'ed but then not subsequently fclose'd. In the affected
branch, fout is otherwise going out of scope.
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel. This vulnerability, a file descriptor leak, occurs in the samples/bpf component when the fout file pointer is opened but not properly closed in the hbm's run_bpf_prog function. A local attacker could exploit this by repeatedly triggering the flaw, leading to resource exhaustion and a Denial of Service (DoS) on the system.
