In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: rtw89: fix potential race condition between napi_init and napi_enable A race condition can happen if netdev is registered, but NAPI isn't initialized yet, and meanwhile user space starts the netdev that will enable NAPI. Also, correct the error handling of rtw89_core_register_hw().

The patch fixes a race where the netdev could be registered and started before napi_init() completed, leading napi_enable() to hit a BUG_ON(). The probe path now initializes NAPI and requests IRQs before registering the netdev, and the error-unwind is corrected. Impact is availability-only (kernel BUG / panic) with no confidentiality or integrity effects. For the CVSS the PR:H in typical deployments because starting a network device requires CAP_NET_ADMIN, and in containerized setups with delegated capabilities, a non-root user may trigger it.
