In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: l2tp: Avoid possible recursive deadlock in l2tp_tunnel_register() When a file descriptor of pppol2tp socket is passed as file descriptor of UDP socket, a recursive deadlock occurs in l2tp_tunnel_register(). A flaw was found in the kernel. A local user can exploit this vulnerability by passing a pppol2tp socket file descriptor as a UDP socket file descriptor during L2TP tunnel registration. This can cause a recursive deadlock, leading to a denial of service (DoS) on the system.
