In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
thermal: intel: quark_dts: fix error pointer dereference
If alloc_soc_dts() fails, then we can just return. Trying to free
"soc_dts" will lead to an Oops.
An error pointer dereference was found in the Intel Quark thermal driver. When alloc_soc_dts() fails and returns an error pointer, attempting to free it causes a kernel crash.

This affects Intel Quark SoC platforms only, which are embedded/IoT devices not commonly found in enterprise environments. The crash occurs only on allocation failure during thermal subsystem initialization.
