CVE-2024-41069

Опубликовано: 29 июл. 2024
Источник: redhat
CVSS3: 5.5

Описание

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: topology: Fix references to freed memory Most users after parsing a topology file, release memory used by it, so having pointer references directly into topology file contents is wrong. Use devm_kmemdup(), to allocate memory as needed.

A flaw was found in the Linux kernel in the function soc_tplg_dapm_graph_elems_load() which could lead to a use-after-free vulnerability as there are direct references in memory to topology file elements which could have been freed after parsing. This vulnerability could lead to memory corruption or crashes.

Меры по смягчению последствий

Mitigation for this issue is either not available or the currently available options do not meet the Red Hat Product Security criteria comprising ease of use and deployment, applicability to widespread installation base or stability.
