Описание
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: dsa: mv88e6xxx: Fix out-of-bound access
If an ATU violation was caused by a CPU Load operation, the SPID could
be larger than DSA_MAX_PORTS (the size of mv88e6xxx_chip.ports[] array).
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's mv88e6xxx Ethernet switch driver. An out-of-bounds access can occur if an Address Translation Unit (ATU) violation is triggered by a CPU Load operation, causing the Station Port ID (SPID) to exceed the allocated array size. This vulnerability could lead to a denial of service.
Меры по смягчению последствий
To mitigate this issue, prevent the mv88e6xxx kernel module from loading. Create a file named /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-mv88e6xxx.conf with the content blacklist mv88e6xxx. A system reboot is required for the change to take effect. This mitigation may impact network functionality if Marvell Ethernet switch hardware is in use.
