Описание
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
um: line: always fill *error_out in setup_one_line()
The pointer isn't initialized by callers, but I have
encountered cases where it's still printed; initialize
it in all possible cases in setup_one_line().
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel. An uninitialized pointer in the setup_one_line() function within the arch/um/drivers/line.c file could be printed. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability, potentially leading to the disclosure of sensitive information or a system crash (Denial of Service).
Меры по смягчению последствий
Mitigation for this issue is either not available or the currently available options do not meet the Red Hat Product Security criteria comprising ease of use and deployment, applicability to widespread installation base, or stability.
