In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
driver core: bus: Fix double free in driver API bus_register()
For bus_register(), any error which happens after kset_register() will
cause that @priv are freed twice, fixed by setting @priv with NULL after
the first free.
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel, specifically within the driver core bus API. An issue in the bus_register() function can lead to a double free vulnerability. A local attacker with administrative privileges could exploit this to cause memory corruption, potentially resulting in a denial of service or other unpredictable system behavior.
