In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fs/ntfs3: Add rough attr alloc_size check
A flaw was found in the fs/ntfs3 component of the Linux kernel, specifically within the record.c file. An insufficient check on the allocation size of an attribute can allow a local attacker with low privileges to cause memory corruption. This vulnerability could lead to a denial of service (DoS) or potentially privilege escalation, impacting the system's confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
