In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mm/compaction: fix UBSAN shift-out-of-bounds warning
syzkaller reported a UBSAN shift-out-of-bounds warning of (1UL << order)
in isolate_freepages_block(). The bogus compound_order can be any value
because it is union with flags. Add back the MAX_PAGE_ORDER check to fix
the warning.
A flaw was found in the memory management subsystem in the Linux kernel. An integer overflow in a shift operation can cause unexpected behavior in memory management, resulting in system instability and a denial of service.

The Linux kernel as shipped in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, 7, 8 and 9 is not affected by this vulnerability because the vulnerable code was introduced in a newer version of the Linux kernel.
