The buggy address is located 1992 bytes inside of
freed 3712-byte region [ffff88810de2cb00, ffff88810de2d980)
which is caused by the task_struct pointed to by sq->thread being
released while it is being used in the function
__io_uring_show_fdinfo(). Holding ctx->uring_lock does not prevent ehre
relase or exit of sq->thread.
Fix this by assigning and looking up ->thread under RCU, and grabbing a
reference to the task_struct. This e

A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's io_uring subsystem. A local attacker with low privileges could exploit a use-after-free vulnerability when the sq->thread object is prematurely released while still being accessed by the __io_uring_show_fdinfo() function. This flaw could lead to privilege escalation, allowing the attacker to execute arbitrary code, disclose sensitive information, or cause a system-wide denial of service.
Отчет
A use-after-free can occur in the io_uring SQPOLL fdinfo path because __io_uring_show_fdinfo can pass sq thread to getrusage after the sqpoll task_struct has already been released. A local process can trigger the race by using an io_uring SQPOLL instance and reading fdinfo while the sqpoll thread exits, causing getrusage to dereference freed task memory. For the CVSS the PR:L is used because local code execution is required, but full administrative privileges are not necessarily required in environments where io_uring SQPOLL is available to the user. The issue is not network reachable and is exposed through a local procfs fdinfo read path. Impact is at least local denial of service via kernel crash.

Mitigation for this issue is either not available or the currently available options don't meet the Red Hat Product Security criteria comprising ease of use and deployment, applicability to widespread installation base or stability.
