In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
genirq/irq_sim: Initialize work context pointers properly
Initialize ops member's pointers properly by using kzalloc() instead of
kmalloc() when allocating the simulation work context. Otherwise the
pointers contain random content leading to invalid dereferencing.
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel. Improper initialization of internal pointers in the genirq/irq_sim module can lead to incorrect memory access. A local attacker with low privileges could exploit this, potentially causing a denial of service (DoS) by making the system crash.
