Описание

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_conncount: fix leaked ct in error paths There are some situations where ct might be leaked as error paths are skipping the refcounted check and return immediately. In order to solve it make sure that the check is always called.

A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's netfilter component, specifically within nf_conncount. This vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a resource leak by triggering specific error paths that bypass connection tracking (ct) resource reference count checks. This can lead to resource exhaustion and a Denial of Service (DoS) condition on the system.
