Описание
MLflow Tracking Server Artifact Handler Directory Traversal Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of MLflow Tracking Server. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the handling of artifact file paths. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied path prior to using it in file operations. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the service account. Was ZDI-CAN-26649.
A flaw was found in MLflow Tracking Server. A remote attacker can exploit a directory traversal vulnerability by providing a specially crafted artifact file path. This issue, caused by a lack of proper validation of user-supplied paths, allows the attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the service account on affected installations without requiring authentication.
Отчет
Important: A directory traversal vulnerability in MLflow Tracking Server could allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code without authentication. However, Red Hat OpenShift AI (RHOAI) products are not affected by this flaw as the vulnerable code is not present in the shipped components.
Меры по смягчению последствий
Mitigation for this issue is either not available or the currently available options do not meet the Red Hat Product Security criteria comprising ease of use and deployment, applicability to widespread installation base or stability.
