Описание

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: rt2x00usb: fix devres lifetime USB drivers bind to USB interfaces and any device managed resources should have their lifetime tied to the interface rather than parent USB device. This avoids issues like memory leaks when drivers are unbound without their devices being physically disconnected (e.g. on probe deferral or configuration changes). Fix the USB anchor lifetime so that it is released on driver unbind.

A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's rt2x00usb component, which handles Wi-Fi USB devices. This issue stems from improper management of system memory allocated for USB devices. When a Wi-Fi USB device driver is unloaded without the device being physically disconnected, the system may fail to release the allocated memory, leading to a memory leak. Over time, this could exhaust system resources, potentially causing a Denial of Service (DoS) where the system becomes unresponsive or crashes.
