In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
remoteproc: xlnx: Only access buffer information if IPI is buffered
In the receive callback check if message is NULL to prevent
possibility of crash by NULL pointer dereferencing.
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's remoteproc xlnx component. This vulnerability occurs when the system attempts to process an Inter-Processor Interrupt (IPI) message without properly verifying its contents. An attacker could exploit this by causing the system to access an invalid memory location, leading to a system crash. This could result in a denial of service, making the system unavailable to legitimate users.
