Описание
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: wwan: iosm: fix potential memory leaks in ipc_imem_init()
The memory allocated in ipc_protocol_init() is not freed on the error
paths that follow in ipc_imem_init(). Fix that by calling the
corresponding release function ipc_protocol_deinit() in the error path.
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Wireless Wide Area Network (WWAN) Inter-Integrated Circuit (I2C) Over Shared Memory (IOSM) subsystem. This vulnerability occurs because memory allocated during the initialization of the inter-process communication (IPC) protocol is not properly released when certain error conditions are encountered in the ipc_imem_init() function. This oversight can lead to memory leaks, potentially impacting system stability and performance over time.
