CVE-2026-72281

Опубликовано: 15 авг. 2026
Источник: redhat
CVSS3: 5.5

Описание

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: account pKVM reclaim against the VM mm Protected guest faults charge long term pins to the VM's mm. Teardown can run later from file release, where current->mm may be unrelated. Drop the charge from kvm->mm instead.

A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM) for arm64 architectures. This vulnerability involves an issue with memory accounting for protected guest faults. During the teardown process, the system may incorrectly manage long-term memory pins, potentially leading to resource management inconsistencies within the virtual machine's memory. This could affect system stability or resource availability.
