In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
apparmor: fix NULL pointer dereference in unpack_pdb
pdb->dfa could be NULL if unpack_dfa fails, causing a NULL pointer
dereference.
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Apparmor security module. This vulnerability occurs in the unpack_pdb function, where it does not correctly handle a null pointer if a preceding operation, unpack_dfa, fails. This oversight can lead to a NULL pointer dereference, which typically results in a system crash and a Denial of Service (DoS) for the affected system.
