Описание

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/amdxdna: Fix leak when pinning ubuf pages When pin_user_pages_fast() returns fewer pages than requested, the pages that were successfully pinned are not released, leading to a leak. Fix this by unpinning any partially pinned pages before returning failure.

A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's accel/amdxdna component. This vulnerability occurs when the pin_user_pages_fast() function, responsible for pinning user buffer (ubuf) pages, returns fewer pages than requested. In such cases, the pages that were successfully pinned are not properly released, leading to a resource leak. This can potentially lead to system instability or denial of service over time due to resource exhaustion.
