Описание
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: hci_sync: hold conn in hci_past_sync() callback
Avoids giving freed pointers to hci_conn_valid(), which kmalloc may have
reused.
Hold refcount to avoid that.
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Bluetooth subsystem. This vulnerability, a use-after-free, occurs when the hci_sync component improperly handles connection references, leading to the potential reuse and access of freed memory pointers. A remote attacker could exploit this to cause system instability, resulting in a denial of service (DoS), or potentially achieve privilege escalation.
