Security update for MozillaFirefox

This update for MozillaFirefox fixes the following issues:

  • Firefox Extended Support Release 78.4.0 ESR
    • Fixed: Various stability, functionality, and security fixes MFSA 2020-46 (bsc#1177872, bsc#1176756)
    • CVE-2020-15969 Use-after-free in usersctp
    • CVE-2020-15683 Memory safety bugs fixed in Firefox 82 and Firefox ESR 78.4
    • Fixed: Fixed legacy preferences not being properly applied when set via GPO

Описание

Mozilla developers and community members reported memory safety bugs present in Firefox 81 and Firefox ESR 78.3. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited to run arbitrary code. This vulnerability affects Firefox ESR < 78.4, Firefox < 82, and Thunderbird < 78.4.
