On Windows systems, the logger run by the Windows updater deletes the file "update.log" before it runs in order to write a new log of that name. The path to this file is supplied at the command line to the updater and could be used in concert with another local exploit to delete a different file named "update.log" instead of the one intended. Note: This attack only affects Windows operating systems. Other operating systems are not affected. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 55.

JavaScript in the "about:webrtc" page is not sanitized properly being assigned to "innerHTML". Data on this page is supplied by WebRTC usage and is not under third-party control, making this difficult to exploit, but the vulnerability could possibly be used for a cross-site scripting (XSS) attack. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 55.

Same-origin protections for the PDF viewer can be bypassed, allowing a malicious site to intercept messages meant for the viewer. This could allow the site to retrieve PDF files restricted to viewing by an authenticated user on a third-party website. This vulnerability affects Firefox ESR < 52.8 and Firefox < 60.

During URL parsing, a maliciously crafted URL can cause a potentially exploitable crash. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 50.

A use-after-free vulnerability can occur when the thread for a Web Worker is freed from memory prematurely instead of from memory in the main thread while cancelling fetch operations. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 58.

WebExtensions can bypass normal restrictions in some circumstances and use "browser.tabs.executeScript" to inject scripts into contexts where this should not be allowed, such as pages from other WebExtensions or unprivileged "about:" pages. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 59.

The "Mark of the Web" was not correctly saved on Windows when files with very long names were downloaded from the Internet. Without the Mark of the Web data, the security warning that Windows displays before running executables downloaded from the Internet is not shown. Note: This attack only affects Windows operating systems. Other operating systems are unaffected. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 54, Firefox ESR < 52.2, and Thunderbird < 52.2.

An out-of-bounds read when an HTTP/2 connection to a servers sends "DATA" frames with incorrect data content. This leads to a potentially exploitable crash. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 52.1, Firefox ESR < 45.9, Firefox ESR < 52.1, and Firefox < 53.

Malicious sites can display a spoofed location bar on a subsequently loaded page when the existing location bar on the new page is scrolled out of view if navigations between pages can be timed correctly. Note: This issue only affects Firefox for Android. Other operating systems are not affected. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 51.

Memory safety bugs were reported in Thunderbird 45.7. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort that some of these could be exploited to run arbitrary code. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 52, Firefox ESR < 45.8, Thunderbird < 52, and Thunderbird < 45.8.
