Memory safety bugs were reported in Firefox ESR 52.6. These bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort that some of these could be exploited to run arbitrary code. This vulnerability affects Firefox ESR < 52.7 and Thunderbird < 52.7.

If a malicious attacker has used another vulnerability to gain full control over a content process, they may be able to replace the alternate data resources stored in the JavaScript Start-up Bytecode Cache (JSBC) for other JavaScript code. If the parent process then runs this replaced code, the executed script would be run with the parent process' privileges, escaping the sandbox on content processes. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 60.

If web content on a page is dragged onto portions of the browser UI, such as the tab bar, links can be opened that otherwise would not be allowed to open. This can allow malicious web content to open a locally stored file through "file:" URLs. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 56.

An error in argument length checking in JavaScript, leading to potential integer overflows or other bounds checking issues. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 45.5, Firefox ESR < 45.5, and Firefox < 50.

An out-of-bounds write in the Graphite 2 library triggered with a maliciously crafted Graphite font. This results in a potentially exploitable crash. This issue was fixed in the Graphite 2 library as well as Mozilla products. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 52.1, Firefox ESR < 45.9, Firefox ESR < 52.1, and Firefox < 53.

Web content could access information in the HTTP cache if e10s is disabled. This can reveal some visited URLs and the contents of those pages. This issue affects Firefox 48 and 49. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 49.0.2.

A use-after-free can occur during buffer storage operations within the ANGLE graphics library, used for WebGL content. The buffer storage can be freed while still in use in some circumstances, leading to a potentially exploitable crash. Note: This issue is in "libGLES", which is only in use on Windows. Other operating systems are not affected. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 52 and Thunderbird < 52.

The Mozilla Windows updater can be called by a non-privileged user to delete an arbitrary local file by passing a special path to the callback parameter through the Mozilla Maintenance Service, which has privileged access. Note: This attack requires local system access and only affects Windows. Other operating systems are not affected. This vulnerability affects Firefox ESR < 45.8 and Firefox < 52.
