In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: ipset: Fix overflow before widen in the bitmap_ip_create() function. When first_ip is 0, last_ip is 0xFFFFFFFF, and netmask is 31, the value of an arithmetic expression 2 << (netmask - mask_bits - 1) is subject to overflow due to a failure casting operands to a larger data type before performing the arithmetic. Note that it's harmless since the value will be checked at the next step. Found by InfoTeCS on behalf of Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE.

CVE-2023-53026
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/core: Fix ib block iterator counter overflow When registering a new DMA MR after selecting the best aligned page size for it, we iterate over the given sglist to split each entry to smaller, aligned to the selected page size, DMA blocks. In given circumstances where the sg entry and page size fit certain sizes and the sg entry is not aligned to the selected page size, the total size of the aligned pages we need to cover the sg entry is >= 4GB. Under this circumstances, while iterating page aligned blocks, the counter responsible for counting how much we advanced from the start of the sg entry is overflowed because its type is u32 and we pass 4GB in size. This can lead to an infinite loop inside the iterator function because the overflow prevents the counter to be larger than the size of the sg entry. Fix the presented problem by changing the advancement condition to eliminate overflow. Backtrace: [ 192.374329]...
CVE-2023-53025
An expired pointer dereference flaw was found in the NFSv4 implementation in the Linux kernel, which may negatively affect system availability when the kernel thread is signaled during a mount/unmount operation. If signal_pending() returns true, schedule_timeout() will not be executed, causing the waiting task to remain in the wait queue, which may lead to a use after free later on. This can impact system stability, leading to memory corruption and possibly arbitrary code execution.
CVE-2023-53024
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix pointer-leak due to insufficient speculative store bypass mitigation To mitigate Spectre v4, 2039f26f3aca ("bpf: Fix leakage due to insufficient speculative store bypass mitigation") inserts lfence instructions after 1) initializing a stack slot and 2) spilling a pointer to the stack. However, this does not cover cases where a stack slot is first initialized with a pointer (subject to sanitization) but then overwritten with a scalar (not subject to sanitization because the slot was already initialized). In this case, the second write may be subject to speculative store bypass (SSB) creating a speculative pointer-as-scalar type confusion. This allows the program to subsequently leak the numerical pointer value using, for example, a branch-based cache side channel. To fix this, also sanitize scalars if they write a stack slot that previously contained a pointer. Assuming that pointer-spills are only generated...
CVE-2023-53023
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: nfc: Fix use-after-free in local_cleanup() Fix a use-after-free that occurs in kfree_skb() called from local_cleanup(). This could happen when killing nfc daemon (e.g. neard) after detaching an nfc device. When detaching an nfc device, local_cleanup() called from nfc_llcp_unregister_device() frees local->rx_pending and decreases local->ref by kref_put() in nfc_llcp_local_put(). In the terminating process, nfc daemon releases all sockets and it leads to decreasing local->ref. After the last release of local->ref, local_cleanup() called from local_release() frees local->rx_pending again, which leads to the bug. Setting local->rx_pending to NULL in local_cleanup() could prevent use-after-free when local_cleanup() is called twice. Found by a modified version of syzkaller. CVE-2023-53029 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: octeontx2-pf: Fix the use of GFP_KERNEL in atomic context on rt The commit 4af1b64f80fb ("octeontx2-pf: Fix lmtst ID used in aura free") uses the get/put_cpu() to protect the usage of percpu pointer in ->aura_freeptr() callback, but it also unnecessarily disable the preemption for the blockable memory allocation. The commit 87b93b678e95 ("octeontx2-pf: Avoid use of GFP_KERNEL in atomic context") tried to fix these sleep inside atomic warnings. But it only fix the one for the non-rt kernel. For the rt kernel, we still get the similar warnings like below. CVE-2023-53026 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/core: Fix ib block iterator counter overflow When registering a new DMA MR after selecting the best aligned page size for it, we iterate over the given sglist to split each entry to smaller, aligned to the selected page size, DMA blocks. | CVSS3: 5.5 | 0% Низкий | больше 1 года назад
CVE-2023-53025 An expired pointer dereference flaw was found in the NFSv4 implementation in the Linux kernel, which may negatively affect system availability when the kernel thread is signaled during a mount/unmount operation. If signal_pending() returns true, schedule_timeout() will not be executed, causing the waiting task to remain in the wait queue, which may lead to a use after free later on. This can impact system stability, leading to memory corruption and possibly arbitrary code execution. | CVSS3: 7 | больше 1 года назад
CVE-2023-53024 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix pointer-leak due to insufficient speculative store bypass mitigation To mitigate Spectre v4, 2039f26f3aca ("bpf: Fix leakage due to insufficient speculative store bypass mitigation") inserts lfence instructions after 1) initializing a stack slot and 2) spilling a pointer to the stack. | CVSS3: 5.6 | 0% Низкий | больше 1 года назад
CVE-2023-53023 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: nfc: Fix use-after-free in local_cleanup() Fix a use-after-free that occurs in kfree_skb() called from local_cleanup().
