hashcat master branch builds after v7.1.2 contain a heap buffer overflow vulnerability in the KeePass AESKDF/KDBX v4 module (module 34301) that allows attackers to corrupt adjacent heap memory by supplying an oversized ninth hash field token. The module accepts up to 600 hex characters for the ninth token field but decodes it into a fixed 256-byte buffer with no length check, allowing a maximal input to write up to 44 bytes past the buffer boundary into adjacent esalt fields and heap chunk metadata, potentially enabling heap corruption or memory access violations.

The sss_nss_protocol_fill_initgr() function in the NSS responder pre-allocates reply space for all group entries but does not shrink the packet when groups are skipped, causing uninitialized heap bytes to be transmitted to the client. A local attacker can exploit this to disclose cached directory data and heap layout information from the sssd_nss process.

An issue was discovered in Django 6.0 before 6.0.6 and 5.2 before 5.2.15. `django.http.HttpRequest.get_signed_cookie` in Django uses a non-injective salt derivation (concatenating the cookie name and salt argument), which allows a remote attacker to use a cookie in a context different from the one where it was signed, via distinct `(name, salt)` pairs that produce the same concatenation. Earlier, unsupported Django series (such as 5.0.x, 4.1.x, and 3.2.x) were not evaluated and may also be affected. Django would like to thank Peng Zhou for reporting this issue.

CVE-2026-6862
A flaw was found in libefiboot, a component of efivar. The device path node parser in libefiboot fails to validate that each node's Length field is at least 4 bytes, which is the minimum size for an EFI (Extensible Firmware Interface) device path node header. A local user could exploit this vulnerability by providing a specially crafted device path node. This can lead to infinite recursion, causing stack exhaustion and a process crash, resulting in a denial of service (DoS).

Attackers can supply a malicious FramesPerPacket value causing allocation size wraparound, resulting in heap-based buffer overflow on ALSA or denial of service on all platforms.
CVE-2026-68579
FreeRDP before 3.30.0 (<= 3.29.0) contains a heap-based buffer overflow in the Windows clipboard client's CliprdrStream_Read function (client/Windows/wf_cliprdr.c). When an OLE paste consumer (e.g. explorer.exe) calls IStream::Read with a fixed-size buffer of cb bytes, CliprdrStream_Read requests file contents from the RDP server and then copies the response into the caller's buffer using the server-supplied length (req_fsize) instead of cb. A malicious or compromised RDP server can return an oversized CB_FILECONTENTS_RESPONSE, causing an out-of-bounds write of attacker-controlled data into the paste consumer's heap buffer when a user pastes server-offered clipboard file contents.
