CVE-2022-50499
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: dvb-core: Fix double free in dvb_register_device() In function dvb_register_device() -> dvb_register_media_device() -> dvb_create_media_entity(), dvb->entity is allocated and initialized. If the initialization fails, it frees the dvb->entity, and return an error code. The caller takes the error code and handles the error by calling dvb_media_device_free(), which unregisters the entity and frees the field again if it is not NULL. As dvb->entity may not NULLed in dvb_create_media_entity() when the allocation of dvbdev->pad fails, a double free may occur. This may also cause an Use After free in media_device_unregister_entity(). Fix this by storing NULL to dvb->entity when it is freed.

CVE-2022-50495
A memory leak was found in the Linux kernel's Xen SMP interrupt initialization functions for x86 architectures. When interrupt handler binding fails during setup, the error path frees various resources but neglects to free dynamically allocated interrupt name strings created via kasprintf. This causes memory to leak with each failed initialization attempt, leading to resource exhaustion and denial of service.

CVE-2022-50490
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Propagate error from htab_lock_bucket() to userspace In __htab_map_lookup_and_delete_batch() if htab_lock_bucket() returns -EBUSY, it will go to next bucket. Going to next bucket may not only skip the elements in current bucket silently, but also incur out-of-bound memory access or expose kernel memory to userspace if current bucket_cnt is greater than bucket_size or zero. Fixing it by stopping batch operation and returning -EBUSY when htab_lock_bucket() fails, and the application can retry or skip the busy batch as needed.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/mipi-dsi: Detach devices when removing the host Whenever the MIPI-DSI host is unregistered, the code of mipi_dsi_host_unregister() loops over every device currently found on that bus and will unregister it. However, it doesn't detach it from the bus first, which leads to all kind of resource leaks if the host wants to perform some clean up whenever a device is detached.

CVE-2022-50487
A buffer management flaw was found in the Linux kernel's NFS server implementation in the NFSv3 READDIR operation handling. A remote client can trigger this issue by crafting an RPC call with an oversized RPC record header, which forces the server to shrink its response buffer allocation. This causes the READDIR response construction to write beyond the available buffer space, resulting in a send buffer overflow that leads to memory corruption, denial of service via crash, or potential data integrity issues.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ethernet: ti: Fix return type of netcp_ndo_start_xmit() With clang's kernel control flow integrity (kCFI, CONFIG_CFI_CLANG), indirect call targets are validated against the expected function pointer prototype to make sure the call target is valid to help mitigate ROP attacks. If they are not identical, there is a failure at run time, which manifests as either a kernel panic or thread getting killed. A proposed warning in clang aims to catch these at compile time, which reveals: drivers/net/ethernet/ti/netcp_core.c:1944:21: error: incompatible function pointer types initializing 'netdev_tx_t (*)(struct sk_buff *, struct net_device *)' (aka 'enum netdev_tx (*)(struct sk_buff *, struct net_device *)') with an expression of type 'int (struct sk_buff *, struct net_device *)' [-Werror,-Wincompatible-function-pointer-types-strict] .ndo_start_xmit = netcp_ndo_start_xmit, ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1 error generated. ...
CVE-2022-50485
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: add EXT4_IGET_BAD flag to prevent unexpected bad inode There are many places that will get unhappy (and crash) when ext4_iget() returns a bad inode. However, if iget the boot loader inode, allows a bad inode to be returned, because the inode may not be initialized. This mechanism can be used to bypass some checks and cause panic. To solve this problem, we add a special iget flag EXT4_IGET_BAD. Only with this flag we'd be returning bad inode from ext4_iget(), otherwise we always return the error code if the inode is bad inode.(suggested by Jan Kara)
CVE-2022-50484
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: usb-audio: Fix potential memory leaks When the driver hits -ENOMEM at allocating a URB or a buffer, it aborts and goes to the error path that releases the all previously allocated resources. However, when -ENOMEM hits at the middle of the sync EP URB allocation loop, the partially allocated URBs might be left without released, because ep->nurbs is still zero at that point. Fix it by setting ep->nurbs at first, so that the error handler loops over the full URB list.
CVE-2022-50483
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: enetc: avoid buffer leaks on xdp_do_redirect() failure Before enetc_clean_rx_ring_xdp() calls xdp_do_redirect(), each software BD in the RX ring between index orig_i and i can have one of 2 refcount values on its page. We are the owner of the current buffer that is being processed, so the refcount will be at least 1. If the current owner of the buffer at the diametrically opposed index in the RX ring (i.o.w, the other half of this page) has not yet called kfree(), this page's refcount could even be 2. enetc_page_reusable() in enetc_flip_rx_buff() tests for the page refcount against 1, and [ if it's 2 ] does not attempt to reuse it. But if enetc_flip_rx_buff() is put after the xdp_do_redirect() call, the page refcount can have one of 3 values. It can also be 0, if there is no owner of the other page half, and xdp_do_redirect() for this buffer ran so far that it triggered a flush of the devmap/cpumap bulk queue, ...

CVE-2022-50489 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/mipi-dsi: Detach devices when removing the host Whenever the MIPI-DSI host is unregistered, the code of mipi_dsi_host_unregister() loops over every device currently found on that bus and will unregister it. However, it doesn't detach it from the bus first, which leads to all kind of resource leaks if the host wants to perform some clean up whenever a device is detached. | CVSS3: 5.5 | 0% Низкий | 12 месяцев назад

CVE-2022-50487 A buffer management flaw was found in the Linux kernel's NFS server implementation in the NFSv3 READDIR operation handling. | CVSS3: 7.5 | 12 месяцев назад
CVE-2022-50486 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ethernet: ti: Fix return type of netcp_ndo_start_xmit() With clang's kernel control flow integrity (kCFI, CONFIG_CFI_CLANG), indirect call targets are validated against the expected function pointer prototype to make sure the call target is valid to help mitigate ROP attacks. If they are not identical, there is a failure at run time, which manifests as either a kernel panic or thread getting killed. A proposed warning in clang aims to catch these at compile time, which reveals: drivers/net/ethernet/ti/netcp_core.c:1944:21: error: incompatible function pointer types initializing 'netdev_tx_t (*)(struct sk_buff *, struct net_device *)' (aka 'enum netdev_tx (*)(struct sk_buff *, struct net_device *)') with an expression of type 'int (struct sk_buff *, struct net_device *)' [-Werror,-Wincompatible-function-pointer-types-strict] .ndo_start_xmit = netcp_ndo_start_xmit, ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1 error generated. ... | CVSS3: 4.7 | 0% Низкий | 12 месяцев назад
CVE-2022-50485 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: add EXT4_IGET_BAD flag to prevent unexpected bad inode There are many places that will get unhappy (and crash) when ext4_iget() returns a bad inode. However, if iget the boot loader inode, allows a bad inode to be returned, because the inode may not be initialized. This mechanism can be used to bypass some checks and cause panic. To solve this problem, we add a special iget flag EXT4_IGET_BAD. Only with this flag we'd be returning bad inode from ext4_iget(), otherwise we always return the error code if the inode is bad inode.(suggested by Jan Kara) | CVSS3: 5.7 | 0% Низкий | 12 месяцев назад
CVE-2022-50484 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: usb-audio: Fix potential memory leaks When the driver hits -ENOMEM at allocating a URB or a buffer, it aborts and goes to the error path that releases the all previously allocated resources. However, when -ENOMEM hits at the middle of the sync EP URB allocation loop, the partially allocated URBs might be left without released, because ep->nurbs is still zero at that point. Fix it by setting ep->nurbs at first, so that the error handler loops over the full URB list. | CVSS3: 5.5 | 0% Низкий | 12 месяцев назад
CVE-2022-50483 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: enetc: avoid buffer leaks on xdp_do_redirect() failure Before enetc_clean_rx_ring_xdp() calls xdp_do_redirect(), each software BD in the RX ring between index orig_i and i can have one of 2 refcount values on its page. | 0% Низкий | 12 месяцев назад |
