CVE-2021-47412
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: block: don't call rq_qos_ops->done_bio if the bio isn't tracked rq_qos framework is only applied on request based driver, so: 1) rq_qos_done_bio() needn't to be called for bio based driver 2) rq_qos_done_bio() needn't to be called for bio which isn't tracked, such as bios ended from error handling code. Especially in bio_endio(): 1) request queue is referred via bio->bi_bdev->bd_disk->queue, which may be gone since request queue refcount may not be held in above two cases 2) q->rq_qos may be freed in blk_cleanup_queue() when calling into __rq_qos_done_bio() Fix the potential kernel panic by not calling rq_qos_ops->done_bio if the bio isn't tracked. This way is safe because both ioc_rqos_done_bio() and blkcg_iolatency_done_bio() are nop if the bio isn't tracked.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: conntrack: serialize hash resizes and cleanups Syzbot was able to trigger the following warning [1] No repro found by syzbot yet but I was able to trigger similar issue by having 2 scripts running in parallel, changing conntrack hash sizes, and: for j in `seq 1 1000` ; do unshare -n /bin/true >/dev/null ; done It would take more than 5 minutes for net_namespace structures to be cleaned up. This is because nf_ct_iterate_cleanup() has to restart everytime a resize happened. By adding a mutex, we can serialize hash resizes and cleanups and also make get_next_corpse() faster by skipping over empty buckets. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipack: ipoctal: fix stack information leak The tty driver name is used also after registering the driver and must specifically not be allocated on the stack to avoid leaking information to user space (or triggering an oops). Drivers should not try to encode topology information in the tty device name but this one snuck in through staging without anyone noticing and another driver has since copied this malpractice. Fixing the ABI is a separate issue, but this at least plugs the security hole.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ixgbe: Fix NULL pointer dereference in ixgbe_xdp_setup The ixgbe driver currently generates a NULL pointer dereference with some machine (online cpus < 63). This is due to the fact that the maximum value of num_xdp_queues is nr_cpu_ids. Code is in "ixgbe_set_rss_queues"". Here's how the problem repeats itself: Some machine (online cpus < 63), And user set num_queues to 63 through ethtool. Code is in the "ixgbe_set_channels", adapter->ring_feature[RING_F_FDIR].limit = count; It becomes 63. CVE-2021-47402 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: sched: flower: protect fl_walk() with rcu Patch that refactored fl_walk() to use idr_for_each_entry_continue_ul() also removed rcu protection of individual filters which causes following use-after-free when filter is deleted concurrently. Fix fl_walk() to obtain rcu read lock while iterating and taking the filter reference and temporary release the lock while calling arg->fn() callback that can sleep. CVE-2021-47401 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipack: ipoctal: fix stack information leak The tty driver name is used also after registering the driver and must specifically not be allocated on the stack to avoid leaking information to user space (or triggering an oops). Drivers should not try to encode topology information in the tty device name but this one snuck in through staging without anyone noticing and another driver has since copied this malpractice. Fixing the ABI is a separate issue, but this at least plugs the security hole. | CVSS3: 4.4 | 0% Низкий | больше 2 лет назад
CVE-2021-47400 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: hns3: do not allow call hns3_nic_net_open repeatedly hns3_nic_net_open() is not allowed to called repeatly, but there is no checking for this. When doing device reset and setup tc concurrently, there is a small oppotunity to call hns3_nic_net_open repeatedly, and cause kernel bug by calling napi_enable twice. CVE-2021-47399 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ixgbe: Fix NULL pointer dereference in ixgbe_xdp_setup The ixgbe driver currently generates a NULL pointer dereference with some machine (online cpus < 63). When user use xdp, "ixgbe_set_rss_queues" will set queues num. adapter->num_rx_queues = rss_i; adapter->num_tx_queues = rss_i; adapter->num_xdp_queues = ixgbe_xdp_queues(adapter); And rss_i's value is from f = &adapter->ring_feature[RING_F_FDIR]; rss_i = f->indices = f->limit; So "num_rx_queues" > "num_xdp_queues", when run to "ixgbe_xdp_setup", for (i = 0; i < adapter->num_rx_queues; i++) if (adapter->xdp_ring[i]->xsk_umem) It lea... | CVSS3: 4.4 | 0% Низкий | больше 2 лет назад

CVE-2021-47396 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mac80211-hwsim: fix late beacon hrtimer handling Thomas explained in https://lore.kernel.org/r/87mtoeb4hb.ffs@tglx that our handling of the hrtimer here is wrong: If the timer fires late (e.g. due to vCPU scheduling, as reported by Dmitry/syzbot) then it tries to actually rearm the timer at the next deadline, which might be in the past already: 1 2 3 N N+1 | | | ... | | ^ intended to fire here (1) ^ next deadline here (2) ^ actually fired here The next time it fires, it's later, but will still try to schedule for the next deadline (now 3), etc. until it catches up with N, but that might take a long time, causing stalls etc. Now, all of this is simulation, so we just have to fix it, but note that the behaviour is wrong even per spec, since there's no value then in sending all those beacons unaligned - they should be aligned to the TBTT (1, 2, 3, ... ... | CVSS3: 4.4 | 0% Низкий | больше 2 лет назад
